One thing: the booking form. When you fill it in, I receive your name, your business, the phone number or email you gave me, optionally what software you run on and roughly where you are, and the figures you set on the calculator, which are your own estimate of your admin load, not anything measured about you.
That is the entire collection. There are no cookies, no analytics and no tracking on this site. Nothing follows you here from anywhere else and nothing follows you away.
The site is served through Cloudflare, which processes visitors' IP addresses to deliver pages and block attacks. That is ordinary infrastructure, not something I look at.
To reply to you and arrange the free hour. Nothing else. It does not go on a mailing list, it is not used to build a profile of you, and I do not sell it or share it with anyone for their own purposes.
Those services are based in the United States, so your submission is processed outside Canada and is subject to the laws there. This is the same arrangement behind most business software in use today, including probably your own email. I have said it plainly so that you know rather than assume.
If we end up working together, for as long as the relationship needs and then per the records rules that apply to it. If we do not, I keep the enquiry for about a year so that I remember the conversation if you come back, and then it goes. Ask me to delete it sooner and I will.
No system is perfect and I will not pretend otherwise. If something goes wrong that affects you, I will tell you.
Email or ring me and ask. You can request a copy of what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. No form to fill in. I will simply do it and confirm when it is done.
Tell me first and give me the chance to put it right. If that does not resolve it, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
This page is about this website. Once I am building systems that touch your business records and your own customers' information, that is governed by our written agreement, which covers what is handled, which services are involved, what stays inside your own accounts, and what I am permitted to do without asking you first. Ask and I will send you that in plain English before you sign anything.
